Heather Hogoboom, B.S., University of Colorado’s School of Journalism. She and her two sons, Hayden and Brady, are past participants in the CLIMB program at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Heather worked for more than 15 years in Denver's marketing community, including stints at several public relations firms, advertising agencies, and the Chamber of Commerce. Her experience includes clients in health care, education, tourism, and public health issues such as seat belt awareness, smoking cessation, antibiotic resistance and teen suicide prevention.

However, probably her defining challenge was her husband's brain cancer diagnosis in 2006, and their subsequent struggle to cope with raising two young boys in the midst of constant uncertainty, multiple surgeries, the inability to work, radiation, chemotherapy, hospice care, and ultimately, his passing in 2009. Since Heather and her two sons, Hayden and Brady, are past participants in the CLIMB program, she has presented her “Personal Story” at recent CLIMB workshops.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the Denver Advertising Federation and is a graduate and past program chair of the "50 for Colorado" leadership program.
